Alo Yoga opens first Louisiana location in Metairie. Take a look inside.

Alo Yoga officially is officially open in Louisiana.

The new, 5,000-square-foot store is welcoming shoppers at Metairie's Lakeside Shopping Center, located next to Free People.

Plans for the new location were revealed in March .

The popular athleisure-wear brand carries yoga clothing and accessories, wellness products and more.

The Los Angeles-based chain, whose name stands for "air, land and ocean," was founded in 2007. It's not only Alo's first local store, but its debut location on the Gulf Coast. The company doesn't have any stores in Mississippi, Alabama or on the Florida Panhandle, according to its website.
