PHOENIX – A few closures or lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend in the Phoenix area, but drivers in the East Valley should keep an eye on travel along westbound Loop 202, Arizona transportation officials said.

Here’s the list of projects from Friday, May 30, to Monday, June 2:

Westbound Loop 202 will be closed between Gilbert and Cooper roads from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for work on a widening project.

Westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Santan Village Parkway, Val Vista Drive and Lindsay Road will be closed. The westbound Loop 202 frontage road between Lindsay and Gilbert roads will be closed along with the eastbound Loop 202 HOV lane between Cooper and Gilbert roads, according to ADOT. Detours: Consider using westbound Pecos or Germann roads to travel beyond the closure. West
