ENGLEWOOD — Quarterback Bo Nix is getting to know the new buzz-worthy tight end at Broncos Park.

Evan Engram is in the building.

“He’s been here since he was signed,” Nix said on Thursday following organized team activities Thursday. “Getting ready and preparing. That’s been fun to see.”

The Broncos signed Engram, 30, in free agency entering his ninth NFL season. His best statistical years were in 2020 (Giants) and 2023 (Jaguars) with Pro Bowl selections. Engram has 496 career receptions for 4,922 yards and 25 touchdowns. He missed eight games last season with injuries (hamstring/shoulder).

Denver is hopeful Engram bounces back at a major position of need.

In 2023, during Sean Payton's first season as head coach, tight ends combined for 39 catches for 362 yards and four touchdowns.
