Jasper Police are investigating an assault of an elderly woman. It occurred late Wednesday afternoon at a residence on Jackson Road in the northwest side of town.

The report said officers responded to a report of a disturbance and two females fled the scene before they arrived, but there were still other people who were arguing.

According to the report, a 19-year-old woman was accused of hitting the face of a 68-year-old woman, who was described as physically “elderly”.

The name of the suspect has not been officially released pending arrest and arraignment.

In late April, she and her 62-year-old grandfather were both arrested at the same location after they allegedly assaulted each other.
