ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A couple from Franklin County has admitted to recording the sexual abuse of a toddler.

On Friday, William Burns, 41, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography, three counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. His wife, Rachel Burns, 34, pleaded guilty on May 22 to the conspiracy count and two counts of production of child pornography.

The couple was arrested by the University City Police Department on July 30, 2023, with two children in their car.

A court-approved search by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office of their home found whips, sexual devices and files containing child sexual abuse material.

Rachel Burns will be sentenced on Aug. 25
