DES MOINES, Iowa —

One of my favorite podcasts is Random Number Generator Horror Podcast No. 9 , hosted by Jeffrey Cranor and Cecil Baldwin, who are also part of one of my other favorite podcasts, Welcome to Night Vale . I listen to both religiously.

Each week on RN9 , the hosts talk about a horror film that was chosen by rolls of two six-sided dice. One die has scare types assigned to each number, the other is the style die. Then they choose a movie that fits both categories.

I bring this up not to get you to listen to these two fine podcasts (though, you totally should) nor to give you another insight into me, personally (but, hello, welcome into my head). I bring it up because the entire time I was watching Bring Her Back , the new horror film by brothers Danny and Michael Ph
