Two teens were arrested this afternoon for an early morning shooting that killed a man, Fort Wayne police said.
Jayden Cosme, 18, and Jaylen Murray, 19, were taken into custody on preliminary charges of murder, a news release said. They were arrested during a high-risk traffic stop near the intersection of South Anthony Boulevard and Lanternier Street more than 12 hours after the shooting.
Around 2:05 a.m., police were called to the 2600 block of Wells Street between Lillian and Russell avenues where they found a man who had multiple gunshot wounds. Medics transported the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim will be identified by the Allen County coroner's office after an autopsy and notifying the next of kin. If ruled a homicide, his death would be the 15th for t
