CENTRAL, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officials said one person was hurt after an officer-involved shooting at an apartment complex in Central.

Officials said the incident happened at University Village apartments, where many college students reside.

Central police were responding to a domestic call involving a knife. According to officials, when officers got on scene, a man opened the door of the apartment and ran toward an officer with a knife.

The Central officer shot the man, who was transported to the hospital. He was a former college student, according to officials.

No law enforcement officers were injured.
