HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) — The Hot Springs Police Department received a notice about a disturbance which led to the discovery of an unresponsive man.
Around 5:47 p.m. on May 21, HSPD was dispatched and later responded to 120 Vardon Street.
Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Paul Bryant lying in the front yard.
He was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Criminal Investigations Division was contacted, and they arrived on scene to conduct an investigation.
Through the investigation and multiple interviews, 26-year-old Dereck Womack Jr. was identified as a suspect.
Around 8:30 p.m., Womack turned himself into the Hot Springs Police Department, where he was charged with Battery in the First Degree, before being transported to the Garland County Detention Center.
