KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - An Independence man is behind bars after he allegedly fired several shots into the front door of a home occupied by a 10-year-old child.
Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Sunday, May 25, indicate that Levi D. Lee, 32, of Independence, has been charged with a felony after he allegedly shot a rifle at a Kansas City home.
A probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that around 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, law enforcement officials were called to a local home with reports of a disturbance that involved a firearm. When they arrived, they learned Lee had gotten into an altercation with the homeowners.
