DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- After what started off as an April Fool's joke, the Dothan United Dragons will be teaming up with a furry non-profit organization to bring something special to the pitch.

"This is what the club's all about: giving back to the community, and obviously, this is such a great cause. Who doesn't love animals, and puppies especially," said Dothan United Head Coach Carl Reynolds.

For one night, fans will not be cheering on the Dothan Dragons as they take the field in their latest matchup; they will be cheering on the Circle City Scratchers. The Dragons will team up with Wiregrass Pets for their Paws at the Pitch Fundraiser and undergo a complete makeover for something that started as a joke.
