The May 20 Coronado City Council meeting began with two ceremonial proclamations recognizing May as National Bike Month and as Older Americans Month. The Council also heard a presentation from Coronado’s Citizen Representative of Sharp Coronado, Mike Woiwode, with an update on Sharp Coronado operations. Woiwode highlighted the hospital’s Primary Stroke Center certification, the remodel of the Intensive Care Unit, the expansion of the Emergency Department (with a remodel of the entrance currently underway), and the hospital’s robotic da Vinci Surgical System.
