As an army of 200 law enforcement officers work to track down the Orleans Parish jail’s two remaining escapees , New Orleans’ government expects to spend close to half a million dollars on the search effort, according to a top City Hall official.

Eight of the 10 inmates who broke out of the jail nearly two weeks ago have been recaptured, but still on the run are Antoine Massey, a 32-year-old four-time jail escape artist convicted for domestic violence and theft among other charges, and Derrick Groves, a 27-year-old linked the killings of four people in the New Orleans metro.
