TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WLBT) - The Mississippi State Bulldogs start hot in in regional play in Tallahassee, taking down Northeastern in its first matchup 11-2.

Northeastern would get the first run of the game on the board in this one, but the Bulldogs immediately responded. In the top of the 2nd, Mississippi State earned three runs to take the lead.

The Huskies responded in the bottom of the 2nd with another run, but it was all Bulldogs after that. Mississippi State would bring in four more runners in the 3rd inning to break this game open.

The Bulldogs added four runs in the 8th and 9th inning, earning them the big nine run victory.

Mississippi State now looks to its matchup against Florida State on Saturday at 5 p.m.
