WASHINGTON — A 14-year-old girl is facing charges after police connected her to two armed carjackings in D.C. that happened just hours apart.

According to D.C. Police, the two carjackings happened on May 8.

The first incident happened in the 6600 block of Georgia Ave. Northwest. Officers say suspects walked up to a person who was sitting in their car just after 1:30 p.m. One of the suspects then took out a gun from his waistband and demanded that the victim get out of the car. The victim did as they were told and the suspects took off in the stolen car.

That carjacked vehicle has since been recovered, according to police.

Less than six hours later, the second armed carjacking happened, this time in the 4400 block of Alabama Avenue Southeast.
