OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha Storm Chaser's right-handed pitcher Andrew Hoffman made his MLB debut on Friday with the Kansas City Royals.

The Royals took on the Detroit Tigers at Kauffman Stadium.

Hoffman pitched the last two innings, allowing two runs and striking out four.

The Illinois native came to Omaha in 2023, making 52 appearances for the Storm Chasers during three seasons.

In 2025 with the Chasers, Hoffman tallied 37 strikeouts to just nine walks, but since his start in Omaha he has tallied 149 strikeouts, the fourth most of any Omaha player.

He is the fifth Storm Chaser to move on to Kansas City this season and the seventh Chaser to make his debut in the big leagues this year. Hoffman joined utility player Tyler Tolbert, who made his debut with the Royals in March; left-handed pitch
