ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Police say a 19-year-old man died after he was shot by a 23-year-old on Ward Street.
Police say on May 31 at around 1:20 p.m., Delwin Aponte-Charbonier was brought to Rochester General Hospital in a private vehicle with one gunshot wound to his torso, where he later died.
It was later found that Aponte-Charbonier was shot at his home on Ward Street with a caliber handgun by Jordan Figueroa-Olivo. Police say after a search warrant was executed at the home, detectives recovered the handgun.
Police say Figueroa-Olivo also lived at the home and was not legally permitted to have the handgun.
On Thursday afternoon, police say Figueroa-Olivo turned himself into detectives with his attorney. He was charged with manslaughter in the first-degree and criminal possessio
