NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A Slidell woman accused of helping an inmate after his escape from the Orleans Justice Center has been released from jail after posting bond.

Connie Weeden, 59, bonded out Saturday after being booked on a felony charge of accessory after the fact. Her bail was set at $100,000, according to jail records.

Louisiana State Police allege Weeden communicated with escapee Jermaine Donald both before and after his May 16 breakout. Investigators say she also sent him money using a cell phone app. Donald was captured and transferred to Angola State Prison on Friday .

Weeden was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center and has since been released.
