The caption read, “One of Southern California’s most beautiful architectural achievements is the Palm Springs High School Auditorium. The huge building, constructed at a cost in excess of $350,000 does more than lend beauty to the high school campus, however. In its first year of operation, the auditorium has served as both a scene for high school drama, music and dance efforts and a setting for concert appearances by such talented artists and Leon Fleisher, Joseph Szigeti and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.”
