CHICAGO — A teenage boy around 18 years old died after being shot in the head in a West Pullman alley overnight on the city's South Side, according to Chicago police.
Police say officers responded to a call of a person shot just after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 11900 block of South Wallace Street and were told by a witness that the victim, approximately 18, was in the alley when the witness heard gunshots.
The witness then went to where the victim was, according to police, and found the victim unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. The Chicago Fire Department arrived to treat the victim, who was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
