No injuries were reported after a suspect fired a shot into the air during a fight between some men Sunday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers dispatched at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday to a “shots” call in the 5200 block of East Second Street located evidence that a shooting had occurred, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
No victims or suspects were located at the scene.
“The preliminary information suggests a physical altercation occurred among a group of male subjects, during which one male suspect fired a shot into the air,” according to a police statement. “All parties fled before officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.”
