In life, you never want to make rash decisions soon after suffering disappointment. You're angry, you're frustrated, you're emotional, and that might lead to some decisions you'll regret down the line.

Thirty days have passed since the Colorado Avalanche were dispatched from the NHL playoffs by the Dallas Stars. Like most teams, they haven't done a whole lot, besides moving on from assistant coach Ray Bennett. That's not a bad thing. Clear your head and put together a plan for the offseason.

Here's the thing, though. The Avalanche should still be a little mad. They should still be frustrated, and they likely are. Because even 30 days later it feels like the Avalanche let a huge opportunity slip through their fingers.
