SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Across the street from the Saratoga Race Course, a new mural is being painted in celebration of 75 years of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. Saratoga Springs based-artist Celeste Susany was selected by the museum for the project.

It is being painted onto the Ludlow Street side of the museum. The mural is called 'the Past is the Present' and it celebrates the great athletes in the sport.

Susany specializes in equine art. She calls the project a dream come true.

"Let's do something that is like a treat, like a trailer to a movie that you want to get them in there," said Susany. "You want something exciting on there, you don’t want to bore people, you want to get them in the museum."
