He passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 1, after being diagnosed with mouth cancer in 2024, according to a statement from Morgan's manager, Tony Conway. Morgan shared her grief in a statement posted to Facebook, "Randy has been my partner, my champion and my rock for 17 years. Our big, wonderful family and I are devastated at the loss of this truly kind and incredible man. I was blessed by his love. Ran-Ran, I will love and miss you forever." Morgan's son and White's stepson, Jesse Keith Whitley, also paid tribute in an emotional message on social media.
