OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA (KCBD) - When Texas Tech’s Makayla Garcia stole home vs. UCLA in the Women’s College World Series, social media went crazy.

The Frenship Grad followed the instructions from Texas Tech Coach Gerry Glasco, perfectly sliding under the UCLA catcher’s legs during the Red Raiders 3-1-win Saturday night.

Talking to Makayla’s mom Priscilla, it’s not the first time she has done it. Makayla also did something similar in her Senior season at Frenship facing Monterey.

It’s also not Makayla’s first time playing for a National Championship. Last year as a Freshman at UT-Tyler, they won the NCAA D2 Softball State Title.

The Red Raiders had the day off Sunday, but Makayla was out at Devon Park and was mobbed by softball fans for photos and autographs.
