HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) -- Two Houston County residents say they assisted police in a chase Sunday afternoon. According to Rickey Stokes News, multiple Houston County Sheriff's Deputies and Ashford Police officers responded to Oak Creek Lane off of Bluff Springs Road this afternoon after getting reports of multiple disorderly people, both male and female, yelling. Reports show one or more suspects then allegedly fled on foot between a trailer park on Oak Creek Lane and the cemetery at Bluff springs Church. Two witnesses and Houston County residents, Nick Francis and Kincaid Knight, tell WDHN they caught one of the suspects in the woods during the chase and held the man at gunpoint before police caught up to detain him.
