CORNING, Calif. – At about 11 p.m. Saturday night a police patrol sergeant and a sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle with an outdated registration and ended up with an arrest of a “known gang member known to carry firearms.”
The driver was under 18 years old so remains unidentified by the Corning Police Department. The juvenile was identified only as being from Red Bluff, California.
The minor was pulled over in the 2000 block of Blossom Ave. in Corning.
The officers said they discovered a loaded 9mm handgun hidden inside of a fanny pack style shoulder bag. They said it was a ghost gun and had no serial number.
Because the juvenile had a gun, the youth was arrested and admitted to the Tehama County Juvenile Hall.
