A motorcyclist was severely injured Sunday after a solo traffic collision in Manhattan Beach.

Around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Manhattan Beach and Sepulveda boulevards, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The rider, a description of whom was not made public, was transported to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries, police said. Details about the collision were unclear.

An investigation was ongoing and anyone with information was asked to contact police Officer Michael Boyes at 310-802-5095.
