COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa —

St. Albert boys soccer (16-2-1) is back at state for the first time since 2021.

"I know everybody out there has trust in each other to make sure that they are willing to do their job, putting in the hard work to get everything done," said senior goalkeeper Dannie Holtz.

The team's hardest worker is junior forward Kyle Irwin.

"There's no days off. When nobody's watching, you still have to train," Irwin told KETV.

Sometimes in practice, we have to tell him that it's just practice but he never stops," added head coach Todd Tarbox. "He's relentless."

Kyle gets his work ethic from his dad, Jason, who works at St. Albert as the school's facilities director.
