Rob Thomson knows the Philadelphia Phillies need all the help they can get in the lineup—especially after just getting swept at home by the Milwaukee Brewers. One player who could provide that boost is Bryce Harper, who appears to be nearing a return.

According to Thomson’s most recent comments after the series finale against Milwaukee, there’s a chance Harper could be back in the lineup on June 3 if the medical staff clears him to play.

Harper has been sidelined after taking a pitch directly to the elbow. Just a few days ago, he admitted he was still sore and hadn’t even been able to swing a bat at that point.
