Windsor police are looking for a male suspect after they say another man was stabbed and robbed in an alleyway in the city's downtown.

According to authorities, officers responded to an area of Louis Avenue near Assumption Street around 9 p.m. on Friday, where they found a man suffering from stab wounds.

Police believe the victim was approached in an alley by another man, who took a large sum of money from him and stabbed him several times.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is thought to be white, around 18 to 25 years old, roughly 5-foot-8 with a medium build, and light curly hair. At the time of the incident, police say he was wearing a black tracksuit and yellow Adidas shoes.
