Searching Dennis Mann’s name in the Newspapers.com archive brings up a lot of results, but only two are the Dennis Mann who went missing in 1979 in Winona.

What’s worse, there doesn’t seem to be an article about it on record from the year he disappeared anymore, if there ever was, and the details are sketchy anyway.

Mann, who was born on Christmas Day of 1959, was 19 years old when he was last seen on January 29, 1979, walking across some fields to his apartment from a friend’s house on Foltz Road in Winona.

Dennis, the son of a career law enforcement officer, never came home and has not been seen or heard from since. He had moved to Winona from Tennessee to work for a company building a Wal-Mart, and had decided to stay in the area when the job was complete.
