The Lowndes County Narcotics Unit (STING) has arrested three suspects this week in a series of drug raids and investigations across Columbus, underscoring the sheriff’s department’s ongoing fight against methamphetamine trafficking.

The first arrest occurred on May 24, when STING agents executed a search warrant at 600 Plymouth Road. Investigators had received multiple tips, including information from the P3 tip line, about drug activity at the location. During the search, agents seized approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine. 65-year-old David Easter was arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $50,000.
