Summer in Chicago means skyline sunsets, picnic blankets, and movies under the stars. The city’s beloved free outdoor film traditions return this year with the Millennium Park Summer Film Series and the Chicago Park District’s Movies in the Parks, offering a lineup of classics, blockbusters, and family favorites, all for free.
Millennium Park Summer Film Series
Every Tuesday from July 1 to August 19, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion transforms into an open-air cinema. Films start at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. Attendees can bring their own food and beverages and choose to sit in the seating bowl or lounge on the Great Lawn.
