ATHENS, Ga. — Duke baseball earned its fourth NCAA Regional win under coach Chris Pollard and punched its ticket to the NCAA Super Regionals next week with an improbable 3-2 comeback victory over Oklahoma State on Sunday night.
"At the end of February, we were 4-5," Pollard said. "We weren't very good, and a lot of people wrote us off on social media, but our guys never wavered in their belief in themselves and in what we had done to prepare. We were really good over the second half of the season, and I thought that was on display here tonight."
The Blue Devils were down 2-0 after a Kollin Ritchie home run, the fifth of the Regional for the Oklahoma State freshman, in the top of the fourth. Ritchie went on to rob Duke of a home run in the bottom of the fourth, which Cowboys coach Josh Ho
