ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A 15-year-old was served with juvenile petitions Monday after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies pursued the 15-year-old, who was driving a Kia Sedona reported stolen out of Caswell County, near the county line on Highway 87 before he moved into the City of Reidsville. The driver eventually lost control of the vehicle and hit a telephone pole on Price Street in Reidsville.
The Sheriff's Office said deputies apprehended the juvenile, who was uninjured, without incident. He has been placed in the custody of Juvenile Justice "where a secure custody hearing will be scheduled for later this week for crimes committed in Rockingham County.
Deputies say the 15-year-old faces charges
