Crenshaw is a singer-songwriter best known for the 1982 Top 40 hit, “Someday, Someway” and “There She Goes Again.” In the 1990s, he co-wrote the Gin Blossoms ’ “Till I Hear It From You,” a song that reached No. 9 on the Hot 100. He also wrote the title track to Walk Hard , which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song. Crenshaw also portrayed Buddy Holly in 1987's La Bamba .
