One person is dead after a home invasion at a Columbus apartment complex, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

Bryan said Rownee Ortiz-Ocasio, 24, died Sunday at Azalea Ridge Apartments in the 1400 block of Boxwood Blvd.

The Columbus Police Department said its Violent Crimes Unit is conducting a death investigation, according to a post on the department’s X page.
