WASHINGTON — Two boys, just 13 and 14 years old, are facing serious charges after a late-night robbery near the Southwest Waterfront.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of N Street SW just after midnight on Monday. A victim told police he had been attacked by two individuals he knew. One held him down while the other assaulted him and stole his belongings before both ran away.
Officers searched the area and spotted two teens matching the description from the lookout. Both were detained and later arrested.
Investigators identified the suspects as a 14-year-old boy from Southeast D.C. and a 13-year-old boy from Capitol Heights, Maryland. Both have been charged with robbery (force and violence).
