BENTONVILLE — The night time is the right time to explore a new series of programs at the Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. Shenandoah River State Park.

The Nights in Nature series gives participants a chance to explore the park after dark, where they’ll learn more about nocturnal creatures and habitats.

Located at 350 Daughter of the Stars Drive, the park is typically closed (except for camping) at night, said Megan Goin, chief ranger of visitor experience.

“The night is a wonderful time to explore what is hidden in nature during the day,” she said, adding that registration is required for the free events.

The inaugural series continues June 5 with “Exploring Echoes After Dark.”
