AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - A Richmond County man is behind bars after what Richmond County investigators are calling the largest methamphetamine bust in Augusta history.

Jaquez Sturgis is charged with meth and fentanyl trafficking. Investigators say they executed 3 search warrants on properties on the 200 block of East Hale Street, the 100 block of Tybee Court, and an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Marks Church Road.

During those searches, more than 2,300 grams of fentanyl and 20 kilos of meth were recovered along with a vehicle, 2 guns and $18,346 in cash.

Investigators say more arrests could be coming as a result of the investigation.
