Fans of the hit Max medical drama, The Pitt , will be pleased about a recent update regarding the show's upcoming second season.

In a May 28 interview with TV Insider , one of the show's directors, Damian Marcano , teased information about The Pitt Season 2. According to the director, the show's second season will begin production in "like two weeks."

“I’ve read the scripts, I’ve read the first two already, and our writers will not let you down,” said Marcano during the interview.

Marcano said that the show's writers kept fans in mind when coming up with storylines for The Pitt Season 2, which will occur during the weekend of July 4.
