BOULDER, Colo. — One of the eight people injured in an attack against a group of people gathered Sunday on Boulder's Pearl Street Mall was a Holocaust survivor, a friend told 9NEWS.
A peaceful group gathered to bring attention to Israeli hostages was gathered at the mall Sunday afternoon when a man used a makeshift flamethrower and threw an incendiary device into the crowd, witnesses and law enforcement said. Eight people ages 52 to 88 were injured. 9NEWS is working to learn more about the people who were hurt.
A friend, Chany Scheiner, told 9NEWS that one of the victims was a Holocaust survivor.
