The Jasper County Grand Jury has indicted eight defendants on eleven charges.

Henry Jonjay Mendoza, 38, of Buna – March of 2025 charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful possession of a Firearm by a Felon - Mendoza is accused shooting a gun towards Norma Williams. Mendoza is also accused of possessing the gun illegally because he has been previously convicted of a felony crime.

Vincent Edward Chambers, 41, of Jasper – January 2025 charge of Robbery – Chambers is accused of threatening Elizabeth Ebarb while he was stealing items that belonged to her.

Ralph Michael Borrego, 43, of Merryville, LA – March 2025 charge of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle – Borrego is accused of fleeing from a Jasper County deputy.
