WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - Leaders in Washington are condemning the terror attack in Boulder, Colorado that left eight injured this weekend.
A suspect is in custody after investigators say he attacked eight people Sunday in Boulder with a makeshift flamethrower and shouted, "Free Palestine."
The injured were demonstrating for Hamas to release Israeli hostages.
Colorado Senator Michael Bennet condemned the attack.
"The people in Boulder, Colorado were savagely attacked by a terrorist while they were expressing their First Amendment rights. that should never happen in this country,” said Bennet.
The FBI is investigating this as an act of terrorism.
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer is urging authorities to fully investigate.
"After all, all they were doing was expressing a simple ple
