(KRON) -- Multiple lanes on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge have been shut down Monday afternoon due to emergency maintenance, Caltrans announced in a press release. Lane 1 will stay open in both directions as crews make repairs on the bridge, according to Caltrans. A pothole is the cause of the concrete found on the upper deck. The pothole is "small," according to Caltrans Chief of Public Affairs Bart Ney.
