A mechanic is accused of taking a Madison/Rankin County Interdiction vehicle that he was supposed to be fixing on a joyride to Franklin County over the weekend.
According to a statement written by Ian Smith, a security guard at Camp Ridge Point in Frankin County, in the early hours of Sunday he got a call of a disturbance on the grounds of the camp. When he arrived on scene, the subject allegedly causing the disturbance was gone.
Smith, who has a background in law enforcement, said the crowd told him that the subject was driving a police car with the blue lights on, drinking beer, and making sexually harassing remarks to a woman in the group.
