PORTSMOUTH, OHIO (WCHS) — Murals in Portsmouth, Ohio are in the process of being restored.
This comes after a grant was awarded for over $200,000 last year to work on about 22 murals that were in deteriorating condition.
The plan is to complete 12 of them this year after getting nine of them finished last year.
"It gives a lot of civic pride and I think if you stop anyone along here they just burst with it," Portsmouth Murals Inc. president John McClellan told Eyewitness News.
Work will continue on the murals for the next few months.
