On Sunday, climate activist Greta Thunberg left a Sicilian port in Catania, Italy, to set sail toward the Gaza Strip. She’s one of 12 volunteers currently on the Madleen , a ship from the activist group Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Their journey is aiming to raise international awareness to Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza and to break the country’s blockade on humanitarian aid , which has kept baby formula, antibiotics, medical supplies, food, and fuel from reaching people in Gaza.
