Two teens told police they were acting in self-defense when one shot and killed a 59-year-old man, according to court documents obtained Monday.

Jaylen M.A. Murray, 19, and Jayden X. Cosme, 18, have each been charged with murder while acting in concert. They were arrested hours after Laron Duane Rosse was shot multiple times at a residence in the 2600 block of Wells Street.

Rosse was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He died Friday of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a suicide by the Allen County coroner’s office.
